The way you navigate through information media is influenced by two things: predetermined proposals and personal decision making. When scanning the media jungle for information you start at one particular point of interest. From this point on you find your own »way of research« influenced by different parameters, such as outside influence, experience, your surroundings, social and cultural background which lead to different associations and interpretations of given sources. Options are given, but you decide which way to go. By that, network connections and options are created, you could not have predicted. These factors of research lead to a very subjective and in some point random outcome. Can an image as an information medium be objective?
By using the principle of Ping Pong, we simulate one part of surfing through the Internet. We developed a process for creating a database that clarifies the principle of those predetermined proposals and personal decision making.
