Data Pollution is a term that defines the phenomenon of Big Data as a problem. It describes the human behaviour of dealing with data in the Internet with a negative connotation.
The book and film are dealing with this term. It is a selection of content on the topic collected on the Internet. While researching on it, I realised that there is no Wikipedia article on this pheonomenon of our time. That is why I created a book on this topic. And how should we create awareness if there is not even a Wikipedia article about it?
The subjective selection and the lack of sources represent important aspects of the Internet, the environment in which Data Pollution takes place. The book is a collection of knowledge on the topic as a proposal and inspiration for a Wikipedia article.
The film complements the book as in the printed version there is only written text which I was able to copy and paste. The film is a second layer on the topic consisting of audio and video material.
