This project is a cooperation of two graphic design students from KABK (The Hague), Marlen Weise and I, and a composition student from the Koninklijk Conservatorium (The Hague), Sara Zamboni.
Together we created a tryptich of three videos on the topic »The happiness, the sadness and the neutral side of The Hague« under guidance of Gert Dumbar.
Each video has three layers. Each arose during the creation process. The first step was the recording of image material. We made a selection of twelve clips. In each of the three videos the same material is used and only by different arrangement and cuts the mood of the videos changes. As a second step the visuals have been given to Sara Zamboni who created the soundscape for the videos and by that interpreting it subjectively. Following, Marlen and I interpreted the sounds as shapes.
The combination of three different layers: moving image, music and shapes shows a fusion of three different spectators' views.
