Odeur Humaine is inspired by the communication of plants. They use their smells actively to communicate with each other.
We can adapt that system to improve human communication. While one person is consciously adding a smell to a conversation the other person will only sense it subconsciously.
With the principle of Odeur Humaine we can add a new layer to our communication by approaching the scent.
In the framework of the project I destillated myself in a moment of fear. I bottled the scent into a self-designed glass flacon.
Production: flacon together with Sander Boeijink, plug together with my grandfather Dieter Müller
Odeur Humaine has been part of an assignment with Matthias Kreutzer called »Signs & Systems« during Playlab class at KABK.
Each member of the class created one Riso print on their signs and/or system.
I was asked to create cover and colophon for the collection.
Silkscreen on plastic wrapper, Riso print on paper.
