What exactly is phototype-setting? In the 50s a revolutionary invention for typography, today a technique that is almost forgotten.
After discovering an old Staromat in our university, we dealt with manual typesetting for the first time. We did a lot of research and experiments and decided: Everyone should have the opportunity to try out this device. Therefore, we created this short manual for the first steps with Staromat.
